Getting the Best Result
A few photo habits make a real difference in output quality — here's what to check before you upload.

Steps
Use even, front-facing lighting
Natural daylight or a light source in front of your face works best. Avoid strong backlight (a bright window behind you) and harsh side shadows.
Keep your face unobstructed
Sunglasses, masks, and low hair or hats across the forehead can hide key facial landmarks. A clear, front-on view of the eyes, nose, and mouth gives the most accurate result.
Pick a sharp, high-resolution source photo
A sharp, in-focus photo at a reasonable resolution outperforms a low-res, heavily compressed, or upscaled one.
One face, centered
Photos with a single, clearly centered face process most reliably. If a photo has multiple faces, results can be less predictable — crop to the face you want first.
